New toys always used to make you feel better when you were a kid. It's nice to know that some things don't have to change no matter how much older you get. This September, nurse your back-to-school blues with the latest tech toys made for the child in all of us. Here are some of the most entertaining gadgets this season has to offer:

SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Flash Drive Mom and dad meant well when they bought you that laptop for graduation. But as convenient as a laptop can be, who wants to lug it around all the time as you hop from dorm to dorm? Thanks to SanDisk, now you don't have to. The SanDisk Cruzer Titanium is a thumb-sized USB flash drive that lets you store music, photos, videos, documents, programs and even preference settings like desktop wallpapers. Just plug the drive into the USB port of any computer and before you can say, "Holy crap, this is awesome," your files will be up and ready to be accessed. But if speed, size and convenience aren't enough, know that this drive is one tough cookie. The USB plug is retractable and the flash drive itself is protected by a high-strength case that is scratch and dent proof and can withstand the weight of 2,000 pounds. The 2-gigabyte (GB) Cruzer Titanium will set you back $120 or $75 for 1GB version. Running out of ideas of how to abuse this thing? Priceless!

Verizon Wireless LG Chocolate This tiny-morsel of a cell phone may be only slightly bigger than a credit card, but it is loaded with features. "Part mp3 player, part phone, totally sweet," according to its advertisements, the Chocolate is a sleek, slider-phone that lets you transfer your music files and download new ones to your phone. Yawn at features like games, camera and video capabilities as much as you want, but this phone can really take you places, literally. Download VZ Navigator, Verizon's navigation system, and let your phone do the talking as it gives you real-time voice directions. The Chocolate costs $150 with a 2-year contract for new users but existing customers can always upgrade for a fraction of the cost. Yummy.

iRiver Clix Giving the iPod a run for its money is the iRiver Clix, a new multimedia player with a touch-screen color display. This 2-inch technological gem allows you to play music, videos, picture slideshows and even downloadable games. The iRiver Clix looks more like a mini-TV than an mp3 player and doubles as an alarm clock and FM radio. The iRiver Clix is a "superbly designed mp3 player that's easy to use and packed with pretty much every feature in the book," according to CNET.com. While this 2GB mp3 player stores only around 500 songs, with its 25-hour battery life, you can enjoy the songs that you do have over and over again. The same price as the 2GB Nano, $200, the iRiver Clix is the perfect choice for those who want an iPod-alternative.

Sony Playstation 3 Probably one of the most anticipated gadgets this year is the PS3, which will be released in mid-November. The 'dream machine' for any dedicated gamer, the PS3 will showcase high-definition graphics unlike any game console before. Equipped with Bluetooth wireless controllers, Sony's latest systems will cost you a whopping $500 for the 20GB hard disk drive version and $600 for the 60GB version. While you should definitely start saving your pennies as of today, the PS3 will be able to run original Playstation and PS2 software so you can still play your favorite games. Gamers may never see the light of day again.
