So I don't know if anyone else had the chance to check out the "Avatar" trailer, the new James Cameron movie coming out December but there has been a lot of buzz about it and I've been left wondering why. I mean yeah James Cameron has made a name for himself making a movie or two that are now considered classics but you can get excited just because of the director. Then there is the content of the trailer: there are giant freaking blue people things! What is this, the anti-Smurf movie? Did Cameron lift this idea from Second Life? I'm used to having aliens in movies but I'm a bit bothered by these...things.

From what I've pieced together about the plot (from the trailer and the back of an action figure tie-in that I came across while shopping fro my sister's birthday) is that it's in the future where people transfer there minds into these blue giant things. Also these blue giant things (apparently called Avatars) are not very technologically advanced and they end up fighting the humans with their technological equipment. So apparently the super advanced civilization and privative civilization don't like each other and fight. Gee wiz what an original plot.

Listen Avatar, I am done with you, you are a mess. Sit in the corner and think about what you've done.
