I write in response to Ms. Feifei Ling’s article titled: “Lotteries and Lady Parts: Taking on the Worst of Fordham Bureaucracy.” I found this article to be ridiculous and offensive. Not only is it full of incorrect information but inappropriate references to our Asian, ISIS and gay community. Whoever read and allowed this article to be published should feel ashamed. This is journalism at its worst: “In my fantasies someone always dies,” “my Asian slaves take care of floor meetings, guest passes and judicial interrogations,” “those silly girls,” “to be handed a diploma by a person less important than I,” “an RA gets trampled to death trying to stop Fordham’s four straight guys from peeing on a wall”—what was the purpose of this article? Is this an article worth publishing in the Observer? If it is, then the Editor and Advisor for the Observer have lost the ideals of quality journalism. From where did you get your facts? Constructive criticism is based on facts and not erroneous, made up, misleading plots. This article should have been titled: “Misleading and Offensive.” Please do not take this response to your article as flattering criticism. I only spend my time writing this response in order to express my outrage for its publication. Next time, please do not waste your time writing a fictional, biased article, so people won’t have to waste their time reading it.
