Dear Observer editorial staff, Your October 8, 2009 edition has an article titled “Students find fault with Facilities” and continued on the next page, the article is titled “Facilities Malfunctions Cause Student Strife.” However only 1 of the 3 residents interviewed about bites actually contacted me, Leslie Timoney, the Facilities’ manager of McMahon Hall.
In response to Liz Bowen's Article on my response to the flea situation in her apartment: McMahon has never had an "infestation" of any kind. We have had "incidents" of various bugs in different rooms at different times. These issues have never grown beyond a single apartment.
Re: “I’d Rather be Unhappy than Unconscious” Mr. Reis’s claim that depression is “feeling sad” completely undermines what depression is. Depression is a physical problem caused by an imbalance of brain chemicals.
Two articles appeared in the March 12 issue of the Observer that I would like to comment on as the problems fall within my purview as the AVP for facilities at Lincoln Center. The topics were the McMahon Hall Elevators and recycling. ELEVATORS The elevators in McMahon Hall are scheduled to have new door operating hardware installed this year.
I write in response to Ms. Feifei Ling’s article titled: “Lotteries and Lady Parts: Taking on the Worst of Fordham Bureaucracy.” I found this article to be ridiculous and offensive. Not only is it full of incorrect information but inappropriate references to our Asian, ISIS and gay community.
I write in response to Mr. Eugene Kondratov’s Editorial titled “Streamlining the Club Formation Process.” I can sympathize with Mr. Kondratov because I understand that the club-formation process can be quite tedious for some, but this is not always the case for all clubs-in-formation.
