The United Student Government (USG) at Lincoln Center and USG at Rose Hill released a joint statement today on the Sept. 13 bias incident where a black student at the Fordham College at Rose Hill (FCRH) reported to the Office of Public Safety that a racial slur had been scratched into his dorm door.

The student body has largely responded with outrage.

Previously, USG at Lincoln Center recently released a statement on Sept. 16 saying that the “racist act” is a “reminder that there is still much work to be done to ensure that all students regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity feel comfortable, safe and welcome on our campuses.”

Today, Sept. 18, the Fordham Theatre Program said they share the student body’s “impassioned plea for a more complete response from the University to these racist actions.” They also announced plans to provide a forum centering around these events.
